Most frequent form of environmental pollution connecting to agriculture is nitrate pollution, cause by excessive fertilizing. This pollution is dangerous in that case, if nitrate pollution can reach the groundwater level.
An incidentally nitrate pollution can diffuse with a great rate into the deeper layers, because of the good water conduction of sandy soils around Kecskemét. We have examinations from many years, what we completed with research of nitrate fertilization’s effect on the yield. Our question was what is the nitrate amount in the soil after different dose of fertilizer. Another question is, how long the nitrate as a pollutant can reach the groundwater level, which is in 4-6 meter deepness.
